Hey everyone, I was reading about forming a Swiss Foundation and Swiss Verein, and it got me thinking. I’m actually in the middle of starting a non-profit initiative for a cultural project, and I’ve heard that a Swiss foundation offers great legal security and asset protection. However, I’m also considering using a Swiss Verein because of its decentralized structure. Does anyone have experience with both? I’m curious about which one would be more suitable if you want international collaborations and ease of management. How does the process of setting up each of these structures compare in terms of paperwork and costs?

Hey everyone! I recently came across this excellent guide on how to establish a foundation or Verein in Switzerland. Check it out here https://swisscompanyformation.com/articles/blog/swiss-company-establishing-a-foundation-and-verein/ . It’s packed with useful information, including the legal framework and how each structure can benefit you depending on your goals. I particularly liked how the guide compares the pros and cons of both options, helping me decide which one fits my needs best. If you’re interested in non-profit or philanthropic projects in Switzerland, this guide is definitely worth a look.
