So, let’s take a look at whether you can complain or not. Drain companies are much like any other corporation in that they have an image to protect, and a reputation to maintain. This means that you do have a right to complain, and they’ll typically have a set of internal policies that you need to think about when it comes to making your complaint.

Understandably, the first thing that you’re going to want to do is establish what kind of claim you want to submit. If you haven’t received the correct level of service, or for example the company has caused damages to your property, then you are well within your rights to file a grievance. Naturally, the easiest way to begin sorting out a problem is to contact the company directly, which you can do via the use of a phone number that will be included on their website or part of the paperwork that you received from them following completion of the job. Obviously, this may be difficult for you to try and do without the correct guidance, so we’re going to look at some tips for complaining and seeing just what we can do to help you out.

Tips For Complaining

So how do you make a complaint? It could be pretty tricky if you’ve never done it before, which is why it’s really important that you have some tips and tricks.

First of all, you are going to want to make sure that you’ve collected evidence which supports your complaint. If something isn’t right, then people need to know. So if for example, Photographic evidence is often the best way to confirm what you’ve said. You should collect as much of it as you can because every little piece for help when it comes to convincing people that there is something not right.

The next thing that you’re going to want to do is to make sure that you have come up with a solution to the problem for yourselves. When you complain to a customer service representative about your drainage problems, what you will find is that they would prefer to deal with you quickly. So one thing that you can do is to offer them a solution which is advantageous for you – they will take it quite frequently. Plus, it makes you seem like someone who is less interested in just complaining and more about finding a solution.

When making a complaint, we suggest being polite! You see, people get really irritated when they’re trying to help and you just give them hell from start to finish. It’s not okay, and it’s never called for. So why not break the cycle and just be nice to people? It’ll help out in a big way when you’re trying to convince people that you’re willing to compromise.

Can You Take a Complaint Further?

Typically, this will see you go further up the company to raise a complaint with a highly ranked member of staff. If you feel like this is the way forward for you, you’re more than welcome to do so. Concluding Thoughts

Okay, let’s look at everything we’ve covered. When you have a complaint, and you want to resolve it, you’re going to want to make sure that you follow the internal policies set out by the company. It’s always tempting when complaining to allow yourself to get caught up in the heat of the moment and basically give the customer service representative a lot of grief because you’re not happy. What you will find is that this doesn’t actually help. Instead, all this does is put their back up against the wall, and then they’ll be less inclined to help you. So it is definitely in your interest to try and be cooperative with people that you’re working with. Make sure that you’re compromising where you need to, and also try and make sure that you make a note of who you speak to, when you speak to them, and what was said during the conversation. This is particularly helpful when thinking about long-term problems which aren’t necessarily resolved in one call.
